Step off the ship and experience the best of Puerto Costa Maya & Cozumel
From ancient ruins & reef adventures to beach breaks & local culture, these two ports bring the perfect balance of relaxation, scenery, & off-ship exploration. Puerto Costa Maya is known for Mayan history, Mahahual beaches, & reef access, while Cozumel is a favorite for beach clubs, snorkeling, eco parks, & cultural sites.
Chacchoben Ruins
In Puerto Costa Maya, history lovers can head inland to explore the ancient Chacchoben ruins, one of the region’s most popular Mayan archaeological sites. It’s a great option for guests who want something cultural, scenic, and distinctly different from a beach day.
Mahahual Beach Break
Also near Puerto Costa Maya, Mahahual offers the classic Caribbean beach vibe with soft sand, clear water, and easygoing waterfront spots for food, drinks, and relaxation. It’s ideal for guests who want a more laid-back port day.
Cozumel Beach & Reef Day
In Cozumel, popular options include beach clubs like Playa Mia and water adventures around Palancar Reef, making this port a strong pick for guests who want sunshine, swimming, snorkeling, and easy island fun.
Cozumel Culture & Adventure
Guests looking for more than a beach day can explore San Gervasio Mayan ruins, eco parks like Punta Sur, or adventure options such as ATV and Jeep tours. Cozumel gives you a lot of ways to make the day your own.
